We found out there is NO way that we can be sent to North Dakota!! Yay! That was my biggest fear. No word yet on where we're going...I am getting very anxious!!
What is UP with Oprah? For the last month, she's had nothing but celebrities on. Oprah is the only show we GET over here. If her topics are crap then I have nothing to watch!!! *grumble*
Nothing too new over here, have to cram cat into cat carrier to take him to the vet for his shots. Should be LOTS of fun... |

I thought you were moving to Wisconsin??? You should try for somewhere exciting like Hawaii or New York or something...I guess he cant pick?
ha ha ha you're hilarious! You cannot choose where the military sends you. It all depends on where they need people. There are some cool bases in places like Hawaii, but most of them are in hick little towns in middle America - crappy, crappy locations. We'll have to go where they tell us go, we have no say in the matter... :(
I could have told you that, there are only like two aircraft your hubby can work on with the new job and luckily most the bases are in pretty cool spots. Lets see, off the top of my head, there are some overseas and Alaska, California, Florida... That's all I can think of right now. It just depends on if he gets on a C-5 or the C-130. I'm so happy for you two!
Thank you!!! ^_^ I'm pretty excited about getting out of here!

Haha....I knew you couldnt pick...too bad though...that would be way more fun!! But seriously I thought you already were stationed somewhere...what happened?
the military moves you every three to four years. that's why i moved all over the place growing up. Derek's tour was only for 3 years in Germany.
Yeah I know, but I thought you had a place in Nebraska already. We were coming for a road trip. Something happen with that place ?
Derek is cross training into a new field. The position in Nebraska is for a crew chief, which his old job. Now the military is going to have to find us somewhere else to go, somewhere where flight engineers (his new field) are needed at the moment. Military personnel moves around constantly - every 3 to 4 years, so there are always positions opening up in different places. It's really the luck of the draw - what is open when it's your turn to move. We're hoping for California, but it could be anywhere. | |
